Rescheduled Christmas Potluck Still Scheduled for Jan 7, 2017

posted Jan 6, 2017, 7:25 PM by Rae Santos

We are still going to hold our Christmas Potluck event as scheduled.  The hour by hour forecast says snow will begin to fall around noon.  Please use caution if you decide to attend – the road conditions may start to get slick by afternoon.  It is to our advantage that our program is starting earlier than usual.

Stay Safe and Warm!

Don't Miss the Philippines HISTORAMA Show on Oct 29, 2016!

posted Oct 6, 2016, 12:19 PM by Rae Santos

PHILIPPINES HISTORAMA is a cultural show consisting of short plays, songs and dances that depict significant periods of Philippine history.  The music of HISTORAMA consists mostly of patriotic and revolutionary hymns contemporaneous with key historical events, evoking the Filipino people’s epic struggles against colonial misrule. All the numbers are performed by seasoned actors, dancers, singers and cultural performers supported by over 50 local dancers and stage volunteers from Oregon.

Local dancers will include some of our very own FAFC children.

This grand production culminates the observance of the Filipino American History Month in October.

Dear Members and Friends,

Let us support our Philippine designers.

Allow me to quote from the letters sent by US-Philippines Society in Washington, DC:

“The Philippines has been invited to participate in FashioNXT and has the extraordinary opportunity of opening this amazing fashion week and showcasing a stunning collection of contemporary and Philippine inspired fashion and design.   This show also has the means to strongly promote the use of Philippine indigenous materials such as pineapple fiber, banana fiber and others.   The Philippines takes pride in presenting the exceptional and intricate works of 4 talented Filipino designers who have made a name for themselves in the U.S. and internationally.  They are Alan del Rosario, Anthony Cruz Legarda, Francis Libiran and David Tupaz.

“I thought you would enjoy viewing this photo shoot of designer Francis Libiran with Filipina model and actress Ann Curtis for Tyra Banks’ TV show America’s Next Top Model  For more exciting details about our designers, please log on to .
